Alright. The first thing you need to do is vacuum the area better then you aver vacuumed before!
For spots and stains Black or Brown in color we are going to remove them with either a spot treatment or a rental unit such as a rug doctor. Make a simple solution if spot treating of 2 drops of dish washing detergent in a bowl. Then mix in a capful of white vinegar, capful of rubbing alcohol and a 1/4 teaspoon of oxyclean (if u have it) mix all this with 8 oz. hot water and stir until mixed.
Using a CLEAN WHITE cloth blot the mixture onto the stains until they are fairly wet. Use an old brush to scrub the stain the repeat the process if needed. When done put a dry clean white cloth over the area and step on it gently twist side to side and the spot should be up!

For Rental or Personal Machines. These machines usually hold 1 to 1.5 Gallons of Hot water. The solution I told you about earlier.... mix that into a dollar store trigger spray bottle. Now prespray a 2 foot area of carpet and let that work about 5 to 7 minutes before you clean it. You can use the cleaners recommended cleaner or you can mix 1 scoop of oxy clean with a small load size of laundry detergent. (powder or liquid) also 1/4 lid of Fabric softner will help and 3 cap fulls of white vinegar. Slowly clean the area you presprayed and work the prespray in 2 to 3 foot sections as you get to the section. This can also be used on fabric car seats and automobile carpet!
